Local Anesthesia

If local anesthetic is required for your procedure, the surgical area will first be numbed with an anesthetizing medication. Our surgeons are well known for gently and effectively administering local anesthetic – your comfort is our top priority! Once the medication takes effect, the area where the local anesthetic was injected will be numb, blocking feelings of discomfort. You may still experience feelings of pressure, such as is sometimes felt during a tooth extraction. However, the sensations of pain are completely blocked.

The numbness created by local anesthetic wears off gradually to let you return to your normal routine in a timely manner.
