Meet the Doctors

DavidH5951David K. Hunter, DDS

Dr. Hunter obtained his bachelor’s degree while a student athlete at Sam Houston State University and his doctorate from Baylor College of Dentistry while a member of the honor society. A residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, followed.

The doctor is past president of the North Texas Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and participates in medical mission trips. As a certified instructor, Dr. Hunter teaches Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. He’s a former instructor of Pediatric Advanced Life Support in accordance with the American Heart Association. Dr. Hunter has been nominated by his peers as a premier surgeon in his field and has been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine, Fort Worth Texas Magazine, and D Magazine.

Dr. Hunter and his wife, Kathy, have four children. When not at work, Dr. Hunter can be found spending time with his family, enjoying outdoor activities, and coaching children’s sports. He’s active in his community and dedicates much of his time to charitable organizations.

Dr. Spingola received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He graduated from both institutions with honors. Following graduation, Dr. Spingola completed two years of general surgery as part of a maxillofacial surgery residency at Allegheny University of Health Sciences in Pittsburgh. He then completed a facial cosmetic surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama Medical Center.

The doctor’s advanced training and interest in cosmetic surgery allows him to offer complete oral and maxillofacial care to broaden the scope of services NTFOS provides our patients. As a published author of a textbook chapter on facial cosmetics, Dr. Spingola has been recognized by his peers and nominated as a premier surgeon in his field. The doctor has been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine and Fort Worth Texas Magazine.

When not helping patients, Dr. Spingola spends his free time with his wife, Ashley, and their two children. The doctor also enjoys golfing, working out, playing softball, and running. He’s active in the local community and in family activities in his native Pennsylvania.

 

Craig4955Craig E. Buchmann, DDS

During his undergraduate years, Dr. Buchmann was a student athlete at Texas A&M University. He received his DDS degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston -Dental Branch. He spent the next 14 years in the United States Navy where he completed the Advanced Clinical Program in Oral Surgery and an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego. Dr. Buchmann’s training and experience in the Navy gave him the ability to provide a wide range of surgical services.

The doctor has been nominated by his peers as a premier surgeon in his field. He’s been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine and Fort Worth Texas Magazine.

In his free time, Dr. Buchmann enjoys an assortment of activities in which his three children are involved, including sports, music, and academic endeavors.

 

Brandon4948Brandon R. Brown, DDS

Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

Dr. Brown received numerous academic and clinical recognitions while attending Brigham Young University for his undergraduate studies, as well as while earning his DDS degree at the University of Iowa. He completed an externship in oral surgery at Louisiana State University and an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The doctor has collaborated on several publications in oral and maxillofacial surgery and presented his findings at regional and national meetings. He has a special interest in dentofacial deformities and orthognathic surgery. Dr. Brown’s training, education, and interests make him uniquely qualified to deliver comprehensive oral and maxillofacial care.

Dr. Brown possesses a strong dedication to community service and charitable pursuits. When not caring for patients, Dr. Brown and his wife, Kim, spend time with their three beautiful daughters: Autumn, Amber, and Andie.

Andrew V. Michael, DDS, MD

Board Eligible

Dr. Michael attended the University of the Pacific San Francisco where he received his dental degree, becoming a second generation dentist. He then continued his education by earning his medical degree and completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, one of the largest and most diverse oral and maxillofacial surgery programs in the country. While at UTHSC, Dr. Michael had the privilege of working under the leadership of Dr. James Wilson, the original founder of Northern Texas Facial & Oral Surgery.

Dr. Michael and his wife, Holly, a general dentist, are enjoying living in the bustling Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. While not at work, Dr. Michael enjoys playing basketball, cycling, photography, spending time with family, and traveling.
